Hammocks hung from existing trees or temporary stakes within the ground.
A small covered box with public books, such as those located in downtown Easton.
This could include increased lighting within the parks for better security during the evening hours or artful lighting installations.
Comfortable lounge seating – fixed or movable.
Field for playing wiffle ball.
This could include a collaboration with local beekeepers to care for bee hives within the parks. Save the bees!
Trees or shade structures to provide relief from the hot summer sun and other elements.
These could be children’s play equipment or lounge style seating for all ages!
This could be traditional slides, swings, and climbing equipment or natural play – boulders, log jams etc.
This could be private garden beds maintained by individuals, community maintained gardens, or low maintenance productive plantings grown for use by the community (i.e. berry bushes, perennial herbs, flower cutting gardens, fruit / nut trees).
Platform / area for outdoor performances.
Coffee cart, a taco truck, a beer wagon etc.
Outdoor ping pong tables.
A central collector for community compost, managed by a community organization.
This could include murals, sculpture, temporary installations, or artful lighting.
Outdoor movie screen and viewing area for movies in the parks!
Garden beds and plantings specifically focused on native plants for our local pollinators.
This could be anything! A corner store, grocery store, coffee shop, micro brewery, bookstore, library, housing, community center, artist workshops, local shop, local restaurant etc.
I didn’t know this was a park!
I will have to tell my neighbors to fill out these surveys! This will help decide how my park is being improved.
